Position Summary

ISC2 is looking for a team player with a positive attitude to serve as its Chapter and Member Relations Specialist (EMEA). This individual requires a strong work ethic, uses an agile approach to prioritizing multiple projects, interfaces effectively with members and volunteers worldwide, and provides timely follow-up and execution of all critical assignments. The Chapter and Member Relations Specialist (EMEA) is responsible for the coordination and support of ISC2’s Chapter and Member Relations program by engaging members and other cybersecurity professionals to advance ISC2’s vision of promoting a safe and secure cyber world through local and online communities. This role aligns with the organization’s strategic goals for enriching membership and growth through providing networking, knowledge sharing, and leadership development opportunities to the global cybersecurity community. This position provides support and coordination for chapter and member relations throughout the organization.   

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for all chapters in EMEA.
  • Provide targeted and sustained member/chapter outreach and relationship through regional directors.
  • Strengthen and heighten the chapter relations from headquarters and in region in-person chapter relations by providing more effective and regular outreach to chapters.
  • Coordinate, support and monitor activities for chapters and members.
  • Build relationships and communicate regularly with chapter leaders and members.
  • Create and manage schedule for chapter duties and responsibilities.
  • Conduct trainings, meetings and orientations with chapters and members for assigned events and activities.
  • Oversee the application process and development of new chapters.
  • Ensure all program policies and procedures are followed and expectations, duties and responsibilities are clearly communicated.
  • Handle chapter questions, complaints and issues effectively, timely, and diplomatically.
  • Make chapter leaders feel appreciated and respected for their service and contributions.
  • Maintain an understanding of chapter ambition and challenges.
  • Identify resources/assistance needed by chapters and provide operational and strategic guidance.
  • Promote the chapters via ISC2’s media channels and other social platforms.
  • Present and facilitate training sessions and informational webinars.
  • Distribute newsletters and email promotions to chapter leaders and ISC2 members.
  • Maintain and update chapter guides, forms, tools and collateral materials.
  • Provide regular reports on program activities to management.
  • Compile data and update records from annual chapter reports.
  • Collect and assess chapter leader and member feedback and identify areas of improvement of the program.
  • Develop new resources and tools based on feedback from chapters and members.
  • Conduct chapter audits and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide training and support to chapter staff in regional offices.
  • Collaborate with other departments on chapter and member-related projects.
  • Identify outstanding chapter achievements through ISC2 communications channels and awards programs.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details, required.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related field, preferred. Will consider candidates with a high school diploma, GCSE, or regional equivalent, and seven (7) years of volunteer management, chapter relations, or customer service experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of volunteer management, chapter relations, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with an AMS/CRM, such as Salesforce, required.
  • Account management or project management experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with non-profit associations, preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment, preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Work remotely from home full-time.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Regular use of office equipment such as computer/laptop and monitor computer screens.
  • Work extended hours, when necessary.
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
